As it is Halloween. I thought I would share some of my favourite venues, themes and ideas to give you inspiration if you are planing a haunted or halloween themed wedding.
Haunted Wedding Venues
MUNSTER CASTLE, Ravenglass, grounds are also said to be haunted by ghosts
in particular that of the ‘White Lady’ which is believed was a certain Mary Bragg a local woman murdered in 1805 AD.
HAM HOUSE, Richmonds, old spots, the sound of footsteps and an inexplicable scent of
roses have been reported at Ham House in Surrey. Glimpses of mysterious characters all around this place has won it the reputation of being one of our most haunted places in the UK.
CHILLINGHAM CASTLE, Northumberland, is a 13th century, Grade 1 Star-listed stronghold in Northumberland, famed for action and battles.

BUCKLAND ABBEY, Devon, is said to be haunted by Sir Francis Drake National Trust Is Buckland Abbey haunted by the doomed spirit of Sir
Francis Drake? Did the man who defeated the Armada really sign a pact with the Devil at Buckland Abbey.
What to wear
In most cases the bride and groom will wear a black white and orange. Lots of couples also get the guests to come in fancy dress embracing the Halloween theme.
Wedding Ceremonies
For an authentic halloween wedding it is a good idea to do an outdoor ceremony if you can handle the cold weather. Popular options are to do it in the woods or a rustic forest using autumn colours of oranges, greens browns and reds. If you prefer to opt for an indoor ceremony keep it dark with candles and hanging lights to give that haunted yet warm feel.
Wedding Receptions
For the reception you can have lots of fun with the decor from candelabras and chandaliers, spiderwebs, whimsical hanging flowers and don’t forget the lighting as this will create the atmosphere with the colours changing through the evening. A smoke machine can also give that haunted feel. As well as Halloween songs like, Ghost busters, Thriller, X Files, Highway to hell, The Monsters theme.
